Grilled Shrimp Ravioli's

My friend David at BBQDRYRUBS.COM recently published a new appetizer recipe that I just had to try.  I love a great ravioli and you all know that I look for any excuse to fire up the grill, so this was a perfect combo. This recipe has endless options and is a crowd pleaser. You and your guests will love it.
  • Won ton Wrappers
  • Shrimp (Cooked, peeled and deveined)
  • Havarti Cheese
  • Jalapeños (Optional)
  • Sweet Chili Sauce
  • Egg and water (Egg wash)

This is a pretty straight forward recipe, with plenty of options, so feel free to go crazy.  I was in the mood for some shrimp, so I went with the following filling. These won ton wrappers work great for this recipe.
These ravioli's are only on the grill for about 5 minutes, so I needed a cheese that would melt fast. Havarti melts fast and goes great with shrimp.

Lay out the won ton's and place some cheese and shrimp on each wrapper. Do not overfill as they tend to separate on the grill if you do.

Make an egg wash with 1 egg and 1 TBS of water. Add a little egg wash to all 4 edges of the won ton. This will help hold them together.

Once you've done this, top with another wrapper and seal the edges. They are now ready for the grill.

These will crisp up nice in about 2-3 minutes per side. Don't leave them alone too long as they will burn quickly.

I like to dip these in a sweet chili sauce.  I was surprised to find out that they save well and can be quickly heated in the microwave the next day.  They were great!  Thanks for stopping by.
